In the meantime, if you found this article useful, feel free to buy me a cup of coffee below.

Disqus is the web’s most popular commenting system trusted by millions of publishers to increase reader engagement, grow audience and traffic, and monetize content.

If your Word Press comment counts got messed up, whether because of a plugin (I'm talking about you, DISQUS) or you messed with your database manually and did something wrong (yup, that's what I just did), fear not – I have a solution for you. Here's how comment counts work in WP: SELECT wpp.id, wpp.post_title, wpp.comment_count, FROM wordpress.wp_posts wpp LEFT JOIN (SELECT comment_post_id AS c_post_id, count(*) AS cnt FROM wordpress.wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = 1 GROUP BY comment_post_id) wpc ON wpp.id=wpc.c_post_id WHERE wpp.post_type IN ('post', 'page') AND (wpp.comment_count! = 0 AND IS NULL)); The result of this query is a list of posts whose comment_counts differ from the actual number of comments associated with each of them.

The left count is the cached number, while the right one is the right one.

For more information, go to https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/960360 Acesse https://disqus.com/help/wordpress Disqus automatically checks your site’s font and background color and adapts to either a light or dark color scheme, along with a serif or sans-serif font.

If these are detected incorrectly, you can override them in your Settings.

Optionally you can do this after installing the plugin. You don’t have to use Disqus plugin if you use this one.

If you try to activate this along with Disqus, it will throw a Have a site that went through several migrations: domain names, permalink structure changes, etc. While installing the real Disqus plugin brings comments back. Install at your own risk if you ever changed permalinks chances are this will create a new empty discussion on them.

This free plugin adds advanced features like lazy loading and SHORTCODE, comment widgets, script disabling etc to your Disqus powered website.

Disqus Comments – Overview Disqus, pronounced “discuss”, is a service and tool for web comments and discussions.

Also check out our guide for setting up SSO on Word Press. Unfortunately I am removing all disqus plugins and stop recomending to others.

No – we do not want crappy “Sponsored links” all over our web pages, nor do we want your stupid ads. Disqus has started showing ads in my blog without notification.
